Concept of the show:
We believe we didn’t chose to be born; we were just born one day.
We didn’t choose when or where we were born.
We didn’t say yes or no, but we were born.
It wasn’t in our hands.
According to Heidegger, everyone feels alienated and not at home in this world. We also feel this way sometimes or maybe all the time.
If this is the situation, how can we live in this world where we don’t feel at home?
How can we as artists do authentic work and live in an authentic way?
Since we are all alien, this show is a journey to become more authentic--to become authentic aliens. This show will be the culmination of a one month process towards the goal of authenticity based on existential conversation of our art, our work, and our lives.
How can we live together since everyone is different? This one month journey is not to change ourselves, but to understand each other by starting conversation and searching for ontological connectivity between ourselves as different beings.
