About

Md. Shakhawat Hossain (Razib) is born in Dhaka, Bangladesh. After completing his BFA & MFA from the University of Dhaka he actually started his real fine art study from 2011 with an unorthodox art group named OGCJMart (Only God Can Judge me) and become an important member of this group. Since then he did lots of international and national art shows including “Authentic Aliens” @ HOLLAND PROJECT, Reno, NV, USA, “Open-15” (with artist Yoko Ono) Italy, “You cannot cross the sea merely by staring at the waves” at KRINZINGER PROJEKTE- Vienna, Austria, “Asian Art Biennial”, “OGCJM” and “Mourn” @ Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Now living in Reno, Nevada with the belief of Joseph Beuys thought “everything is art and everyone is an artist”. He believes “only art has the ability to be a truly universal language when it is totally ideologically free”. Furthermore, art is a language of unsayable. So, he loves to think “living can also be an art”.

As an artist, his purpose of doing art is to provoke towards finding being’s authentic metabolic existence through works or living. Additionally, to influence towards finding being’s ontological connectivities to live in unison as all are different than others. Finally, his art process is not only designated to find out being’s origins or completion but to comprehend their identities as the non-coincidence of undesirable self.
